We are what we eat.

I’m very excited to start this new rubric where I will be sharing all the beauty tips and all the information I know that you might like!

I would like to begin with the most important topic, nutrition, because we are what we eat. I don’t believe in diets, I think it’s a waste of time and a huge stress for your body and mind. I tried fortune of different diets and none of them gave me desirable results, but headaches, fatigue, dull skin and crazy irritability. It took me a couple of years to understand that eating healthy is the only way to be healthy, look good, feel fresh and maintain the healthy weigh. Healthy eating is a habit you need to develop.

Sport is another important element of the process. Choose a sport activity you like, don’t run marathons if you don’t like to run, you can walk instead, or do stairs, yoga, pilates, swimming, tennis, beach volleyball, anything that fits your personality. The goal is to be active. Stay patient, don’t expect to lose 10 lbs in a week, it’s very unhealthy to lose weight fast.

Healthy eating is a lifestyle and that’s why it takes time to reset your mind and get rid of bad habits.

Here is a little nutrition plan I try to follow:

  •  Plenty of water (2L/8 cups a day)

I drink 2 cups of warm water with lemon juice every morning 20 minutes before I eat. I try not to drink water or any other beverages while I eat.

  • Five meals a day (it boosts your metabolism).

Approximate menu:

1.Breakfast (oatmeal with fruits and raw organic honey, coffee or green tea).
2.Snack (smoothie →spinach, pineapple, banana)
3.Lunch (a bowl of soup and salad or pasta)
4.Snack (raw almonds/cashews or cup of simple salad or a vegetable smoothie)
5.Dinner (baked/steamed/grilled veggies and baked/grilled fish)

Try to consume fruits, vegetables, grains, protein daily.

  •  No fruits after 3pm.
  • 4. Snack with organic smoothie (not Panera one or something like that).
  • 5. Light dinner.
  • 6. Last meal 3 hours before sleep.
  • 7. 1-2 cups of organic green tea a day with no sugar.

(Try to exclude fried, greasy, smoked, artificial foods at all and minimize your sugar intake.)

P.S. Of course, there will be days when you will have a late dinner, or will eat a piece of cake or something else, we all are human beings and having “those” moments, but don’t let those moments overpower you too often, be strong and take a good care of yourself.

Those moments..Enjoy:)
